Ida and William Rosenthal, together with their friend first conceptualized a bandeau with two cups separated by a center piece of elastic. The bandeau was at first sewn into dresses. William Rosenthal filed the first patent for the prototype of the modern seamed uplift bra. This prototype became highly popular and the company grew. Years after, Maidenform Bras launched another campaign entitled “The Maidenform Woman: You Never Know Where She’ll Turn Up.” The new campaign continued to bring the same lessons as the first one but with a stronger and more inspiring approach. Recently, Maidenform Bras re-launched the classic “Dream Campaign.” Similar to the first one, the campaign highlights the individuality of the women spirit.
